The Evart Funfest (July 13–15, 2023) was a great experience; I received quite a bit of positive feedback and taught a large workshop (around 40 advanced hammered dulcimer players) for the first time. I also enjoyed a smaller question-and-answer session for beginning hammered dulcimer players. The stage show had a lot of great performers on all three nights, and I enjoyed playing hammered dulcimer for a fifteen-minute slot on Thursday night; Pam Bowman joined me on the guitar for the first two songs, which was fun. The ODPC coordinators put in a lot of hard work and dedication, resulting in a smoothly run festival experience. I enjoy the Evart Funfest every year, and this year was no exception. I'm already looking forward to Evart 2024, the third weekend in July!
